Class Description

Participating in BDSM activities can sometimes be likened to a delicate dance with our mortality. Our individual risk profiles, whether acknowledged consciously or not, dictate the extent to which we are willing to venture close to the boundaries of our physical and mental well-being. Within our community, encountering grief, loss, and the specter of mortality is a profound and impactful experience, serving as both a somber reflection and a shock to our nervous system. This can occur through various means both primary and secondary experiences: be it medical circumstances, accidents, natural events, or when the odds are not in our favor. This class aims to explore the reasons behind the profound impact of grief and loss within our community, guide individuals in self-care during times of both kink and grief, and delve into the palpable reality of mortality that we confront on a daily basis.
