Class Description

Many people who come to toxic relationship recovery because of a recent relationship or experience often recognize that they’ve been in and out of toxic relationships.  Some of us have even heard the highly toxic and victim-blamey saying that they are the common denominator in all their failed relationships and may feel like it’s their fault that they keep ending up with toxic people. That simply isn’t true!!! Many of the seeds that cause us to take on abusive and/or victim tendencies start in our earliest childhood, even in our infancy.  Arriving at adulthood without knowing how to self-validate and keep healthy boundaries is an experience had by about half the adults of the United States. While our infancy is far in the past, *you* are in the present, and there is a lot that you can do to heal those wounds. The good news is that only you can heal yourself.  You don’t need to find the right relationship, religion, job, or diet to finally be made whole. Of course, the bad news is that only you can heal yourself.  How do you get started?  How can you begin to change in a world of constant attacks? In this peer-education event, we’ll go over the wounds of the inner child, the 4 F’s of the traumatized response, and discuss fighting our inner critic. Please join us!
