Accentuate the Positive: Autism in Kink

When we think about autism, we often think about a list of symptoms, as if it were a "disease" to be "treated." In this discussion, we will examine how to acknowledge and highlight the more positive parts of our autism and depathologize our relationship to it. We will disscuss possible reasons why kink and autism go well together, and how to navigate the social and sensory intensity that commonly comes with kink spaces. This class encourages discussion and participant engagement. 
This class is designed for autistic individuals to look inward and think about how to positively approach their autism. Neurotypicals are permitted in this class, but they should understand that their experiences may not be useful or warranted in our discussions and should instead take a backseat approach to this presentation.
