Class Description
In the kink community, we talk a lot about consent and negotiation. However, consent violations occur frequently because we talk very little about effective communication. In this class, we discuss effective communication strategies to employ before, during, and after negotiation to facilitate consensual encounters. This class will answer questions such as:
• What is consent? Consent violation? Consent Accident?
• What questions to ask during a negotiation?
• How does effective communication mean planning for conflict?
• How does accountability factor into effective communication?
