Lou Daniel Thomas is a Chaplain located in Northern Vermont. Lou's ministry journey has never been "simple." Their insights from their discernment and relationship with God have given Lou an intimate look at the intersectionality of religion and sexuality in a unique light.
Lou grew up in an Irish Catholic household and left the Catholic Church after their Confirmation at 16. Lou has spent the past 20 years being a Catholic Church "Done" and exploring their own religious and spiritual leanings. Lou's journey has included being a member of the Unitarian Universalists, Humanism, and a Shambhala practitioner. Lou is now an active member of the United Church of Christ.
Lou's educational background is considered "non-traditional." Lou is graduating from Phillips Theological Seminary (PTS) Center for Ministry and Lay Training, receiving a Certificate in Pastoral Ministry after taking courses through the New York School of Ministry (UCC) and completing their academic work at PTS.
