Thrive Virtual Conference Bio:

(Bio that will be used only for this event)

I am Vi Johnson, the Librarian, Mom to much of the community and Grandmother to the O'Kink Family and the next leather generation. I am also a Leather woman vampire, and author who has been active in the leather BDSM scene for almost four decades. A mentor and confidante to many in the fetish world, There is a special place in my heart for those who choose to serve as slaves, boy/bois and submissives.

I am actively involved with preserving the history of the Leather Community, having served for five years of the Board of the Leather Archives and Museum and I now travel to various communities with The Carter /Johnson Library and Collection, a four thousand piece library and exhibit of books, magazines, memorabilia and ephemera. I am the wife of Jill Carter, International Ms Leather 1996.

I have had the distinction of winning the "Lifetime Achievement Award" from Pantheon of Leather and The National Leather Association, making me the only person to receive both awards in the same year. I am also the recipient of the first Lifetime Achievement Award from Black Beat, and The Legacy Award from Sweat in the City.

I have been honored by this community in more ways than I could have ever imagined, including Pantheon of Leather "Woman of the Year" 2000, and in 2005 with the "Jack Stice Award," from South East Leatherfest, The Pantheon of Leather "Forbear Award" and the "Slave Heart Award" from The Master/slave Conference, Washington, DC. I am the author of two books "Dhampir" and "To Love, To Obey, To Serve," and am a Charter Member of L.O.F.A. (Leather Old Farts Anonymous).
