We are excited to host
vahavta
(She/They)
vahavta is a kink writer and educator with a passion for risk-aware practices, personal agency, and the validity of all consensual desires. With over a decade of lived experience in 24/7 CNC-based Total Power Exchange—and longer, bottoming for emotional S/m and edge play—vahavta is the creator of the "Submission Beyond Limits" workbook for s-types and curator of [the Risk Evaluation Database (RED)](https://fetlife.com/groups/218757). Disabled, Jewish, and femme, she believes in approaching kink with a firm understanding of intersectional context.
vahavta is proud to have taught for international communities both online and off. As an educator, they aim to give honest and risk-aware information that applies to the realities of human behavior, focusing largely on the "how" and asking people to consider their personal capabilities, interests, and readiness. She contributes regularly to kink blogs and her Fetlife writing index—much of which can also be found on her website at https://kinkbeyondlimits.com—and loves putting words together, watching her most romantic nightmares come true, and doing whatever her 50-lb lapdog wants. In all aspects of their life, vahavta strives to be a work in progress.

Who will be presenting:
Safety in the Shadows: Kink vs Toxicity in Dark Dynamics
Class Description
Consensual relationships centered on CNC, degradation, humiliation, the intentional imitation of abuse cycles, and similar are all valid ways to express power exchange and kink. Simultaneously, for many of us—including but not limited to those with trauma histories, RSD, and attachment wounds—it can quickly become hard to see the line between "awful but hot” and "quietly destroying me.” Students in this class will learn frameworks for evaluating risk and navigating “dark” power exchange with intention, structured ways to assess relational sustainability, methods for operationalizing desires and boundaries inside intentionally unhealthy-*feeling* dynamics, and how s-types can maintain agency and self-advocate even within an environment of long-term CNC, degradation, or adjacent structures. You'll leave better-equipped to mitigate the risks of living out your (consensual) 24/7 nightmares and with a sense of what it might mean for you personally to thrive within them.
