1800 Miles: Tools and Stories From A Neurodivergent Dynamic At A Distance

Class Description

Long distance relationships (LDRs) are difficult even for Vanilla and neurotypical people. It’s hard to be away from someone you love, communication styles change, and sleeping alone can feel isolating.

So how as neurodivergent kinksters do we navigate LDRs? Particularly if power exchange is involved?

This class is designed to help you figure that out. Whether you’re navigating a relationship that is beginning before you’ve met in person or if you’re moving apart after years, this class will give you tools.

As a kinky couple of neurodivergent switches with a dynamic that started and remained long distance for over 4 years, we have many ideas on how to engage in kink when your partner isn’t physically available.

This class will focus on successes and failures we have experienced as well as tools, resources, and mindsets helped us maintain and thrive in our exploration of ourselves, each other, and our dynamic.

A Little Bit of Everything all of the Time

Class Description

Frenzy,  is a state of altered consciousness that can occur during any part of your BDSM journey. It is a unique and powerful experience that can be both exhilarating and challenging. However, the nature of the BDSM community and its emphasis on exploration and risk-taking can make individuals in the community more vulnerable to experiencing frenzy.

In this class, we will explore the different types of frenzy that may affect individuals in the BDSM community, including sub frenzy and top frenzy. We will discuss the potential causes and risk factors for frenzy, as well as strategies for recognizing and managing frenzied behaviors.

Hope Lythi will draw on their personal experiences and expertise in managing frenzy and the BDSM community to provide a safe and non-judgmental space for discussion and exploration. We will also explore the unique challenges and opportunities that arise when navigating frenzy within a BDSM dynamic, and how to maintain a healthy and consensual BDSM practice.

Whether you are someone who has experienced frenzy in the past, or simply want to learn more about how to support yourself and others within the BDSM community, this class offers a valuable opportunity for growth and learning. So come join us, and let's work together to create a safer and more supportive BDSM community.

BDSM and PTSD: (re)claiming our bodies and minds

Class Description

CN: sexualised violence

Survivors of sexualised violence are often silenced, paternalised and talked about rather than with in conversations about how we like to experience kink. This class is a space where I talk from the perspective of someone who has claimed his experiences and sexual agency as his own, while often being vilified or psychopathologized for this.

I would welcome everyone, regardless of their own experience to this workshop. It might contain topics that are triggering.

Dealing with Grief and the Reality of Mortality in the Lifestyle

Class Description

Participating in BDSM activities can sometimes be likened to a delicate dance with our mortality. Our individual risk profiles, whether acknowledged consciously or not, dictate the extent to which we are willing to venture close to the boundaries of our physical and mental well-being. Within our community, encountering grief, loss, and the specter of mortality is a profound and impactful experience, serving as both a somber reflection and a shock to our nervous system. This can occur through various means both primary and secondary experiences: be it medical circumstances, accidents, natural events, or when the odds are not in our favor. This class aims to explore the reasons behind the profound impact of grief and loss within our community, guide individuals in self-care during times of both kink and grief, and delve into the palpable reality of mortality that we confront on a daily basis.

For The Love Of Kink: Neurodivergent Aromantics

Class Description

This class delves into the complexities of amatonormativity, dissecting its presence in both mainstream and alternative lifestyles. Through the lens of Drummer and Mxstress's relationship, we examine relationship escalators, presumed hierarchies, and how amatonormativity influences relationships even within queer and kink communities. Aromanticism takes center stage as we navigate its various forms, linking them to neurodivergence and the nuanced perception of relationships. We explore the authentic freedom of expression in kink without romance and intimacy beyond traditional romantic paradigms. Participants will ponder the question: Can a life without romance be fulfilling? The class culminates in discussions on the performance of dominance and submission versus romanticism, the dynamics of platonic relationships, and the passionate development of interests within the context of neurodivergent aromanticism.

Service With Mental Illness and Neurodivergence

Class Description

Service is an incredibly beautiful part of the BDSM scene, but being a service person with mental illness and neurodivergence creates unique challenges for us to work both around and with. Having different levels of ability and energy than a non-mentally-ill, non-neurodivergent service person can also lead those of us with those challenges to feel lesser, or maybe that we can't even BE a good service person.

As someone who deals with ADHD, clinical depression, anxiety, and trauma, I want to help show the ways I've learned to work around my challenges and help instill confidence for those who want to serve but feel at a loss. This will include small ideas for service that many people will be able to try, and also different ways to rethink ones thinking around mental health challenges.
