Alexa the Smut Editor

(she/her)

Panelist Bio

Alexa the Smut Editor teaches neurodivergent writers who learned about sex from fanfiction to write the book they've always needed.

Alexa teaches sex and consent education through erotic fiction, helping authors craft novels that explore sexual connection, kink/BDSM, consent, boundaries, and healthy relationships. Her work is informed on trauma, neurodivergence, mental health, and the intersectionality of gender, race, sexuality, disability, and marginalized experiences. She has been in the publishing and sexual health industries for eight years, serving her communities as an educator, dildo-slinger, association volunteer (the Editorial Freelancers Association), and writing coach in addition to her own journey as an autistic, polyamorous kinkster and author.

She currently lives in the Midwest with her chosen family and pups, and she's constantly covered in dog fur.
